It's been such a fun week of festivities here at SFE. We've loved every minute of this special time with our sharks. Have a happy and safe break and we will see you all on Tuesday, January 7th.

It's been a great week full of festive activities but our favorite part might have been time spent with good books!

Congratulations to our spelling bee contestants! These students worked very hard to prepare for today's competition. Ultimately the highest honors were awarded to Carmen K. in first place and Sofia T. as our runner up. Congratulations again and thank you so much to our staff members who put this event together!

We are HEADing into the winter break! Today is our last full day this week and tomorrow is early release after classroom parties.

Wow! Mrs. Rose and our 3rd graders did a phenomenal job with their performances yesterday. The North Pole Diaries was so much fun to watch. Thanks so much for your hard work, sharks!

We are all smiles when it comes to this beautiful weather!

Math on the move! Who says you always have to be sitting at a desk to learn? Certainly not these third graders!

We hope all of our shark families had the best time at our Polar Express event last night. I hear that Mrs. Matteson and Mrs. Sanchez made it on the nice list. Did you?

Third grade has been working hard on their upcoming program and they can't wait to share it with their families next week! It's going to be fabulous!

Thank you so much RMS band, orchestra and choir for sharing your talents with us today!

Wow! Our fourth grade sharks work hard and it shows!

SFE staff "Paints the Town Blue" to support our Kingwood Mustangs in their advancement to the 4th round of playoffs. Go Mustangs!

Hey, Sharks! We have an important announcement from our friends at Kingwood High School. For the first time since 1990, the Mustangs have advanced to the Regional Finals, marking an incredible achievement in their historic playoff run.
To celebrate this exciting moment and show our support for the team, we invite the entire Kingwood community to join us in wearing BLUE on Friday, December 6. We would love to see the entire Kingwood community unite to cheer on the Mustangs as they compete in the 4th round of the playoffs.

Humble ISD is teaming up with Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) to bring holiday cheer to students in need through the Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive. In Episode 31 of Ask an Expert, Matt Smith, Coordinator of Elementary Counseling and Behavioral Services and Homeless Liaison, discusses how the community unites to support HAAM's Toy Drive and Humble ISD's "Fill the Bus" initiatives. 'Tis the season for holiday fun. 5th grade kicked off the season by visiting the Alley Theatre to see A Christmas Carol.

Thank you so much to the KHS FFA students that brought Food For America to SFE!

Math is always fun here at SFE but it's even better when collaborating with a friend!

It's been a bright, sun-shiny week here at SFE but we are all so excited for a week with our families. Have a great Thanksgiving break and we can't wait to see you all back here on December 2nd!

Good friends, good books and good weather make for the perfect day at school. We love to see our sharks enjoying the outdoors while they read together!

Last week our fourth graders were able to enjoy a beautiful day at Jesse Jones Park. While there they learned all about what life was like in the early 1800's. They were able to experience life as a pioneer hands-on and had a wonderful day! Thank you to the teachers, parents and volunteers that made this day possible for our sharks!
