Important reminders for SFE students:
Tennis shoes required on P.E. days.
Every Thursday is College Day. Students are encouraged to wear any college shirts.
Every Friday is Spirit Day. Students are encouraged to wear a SFE spirit shirt.
Label all jackets, lunch kits, and water bottles with child’s name.
Keep a jacket/sweater in your child’s backpack. Classrooms can get chilly.
Teach your child to tie his/her jacket around his/her waist when outside, instead of laying it on the ground.
Field Trips
Field trips are taken during the year to provide learning experiences for students outside the classroom. While on a field trip, there will be many connections and extentsions your child will be able to link to information learned at school. In addition to curriculum content, the students will also be provided opportunities to practice communication and social skills.
Students are required to ride the bus to and from field trip locations.
Forgotten Items Cart
To help keep classroom disruptions to a minimum, we ask that you put all forgotten items that you bring to school on the cart in the front hallway. Deliveries will be made at 10:00 AM. Let the front office staff know if it is a critical item such as medication or reading glasses.
Lunch will not be delivered to classrooms. Instead, students will be able to check the cart themselves if they forgot their lunch or if they are expecting someone to bring them lunch that day. Please discuss this with your child and make sure he/she knows to check the cart. See the grade level lunch schedule so you can bring lunch at the correct time.
Lost & Found
Lost and Found is located at the end of the front hallway by the cafeteria in the orange cabinet. Students and parents are encouraged to look through the cabinet for any lost items. At the end of each semester all items that are not claimed are donated. Every effort will be made to return any items with names on them.
Lunch
Visit Humble ISD’s Child Nutrition Webpage to set up an online account. This is the preferred way for parents to add money to their child’s account. It also allows parents to monitor a child’s purchases. You can view and print monthly menus from here as well.
A variety of snacks and frozen treats are available for sale at an additional cost in the cafeteria.
Forgotten lunches or lunches dropped off by a parent will be placed on a cart for the child to pick up on his/her way to the cafeteria.
