Mrs. Hughes is so excited to be a Deerwood Dolphin! She graduated from Sam Houston State University. This is her first year teaching with the district, but she has taught at a preschool for the past two years. She has 3-year-old twin boys who keep her very busy! In her free time, she likes to craft and find new parks to take her boys.

Three decades of service is a rare and remarkable accomplishment. The Deerwood community has been fortunate to have the extraordinary Mrs. Pam on campus since 1993! Mrs. Pam has impacted our Dolphins in so many ways through her dedication, commitment, and hard work. Congratulations, Mrs. Pam, on working thirty years at Deerwood. We cannot thank you enough for the difference you make every day.

Please have students bring their water bottles labeled with their name to school. Students need to bring their water bottle to PE and to recess.

💙🐬☀️Our Academic Support Dream Team is looking pretty amazing in their new shirts donated by PTA to our whole DWE staff. We cannot thank our PTA enough for their incredible support of our school.

Our grade-level orientations are coming quickly. Orientations are an excellent way to get to know your child's teacher, classroom, and procedures. We hope to see you there.

Neal Mansfield swims back to join the Deerwood Dolphin pod after graduating 5th grade in 1988. During his journey away, he earned his degree from Texas A&M and taught a diverse set of ages and subjects from pre-k to university students, including teaching in China for 14 years. He now enjoys family time with his wife Monica and daughter Olivia Anlan and stays active by hiking, camping, and playing soccer. Mr. Neal also enjoys quiet time reading, taking pictures, and playing guitar. Mr. Neal can't wait to meet his new class of dolphins. His enthusiasm will make a splash in the DWE community, inspiring and guiding 4th-grade students on their academic journey. We're thrilled to welcome him back and witness the sea of positive impact he'll bring to our school. He can't wait to dive in together!

Mrs. Salazar is thrilled about joining Deerwood Elementary this year as a Kindergarten teacher. She was born and raised in Humble and graduated from the University of Houston Downtown. She has 10 years of experience in Education.

We look forward to seeing our Kindergarten grownups on Wednesday, August 2nd from 5 pm - 6 pm. ☀️💙🐬

Shannon Beaulieu is a Kingwood native, KHS graduate, and Texas Tech Red Raider. She is excited to be starting her first year in Humble ISD with her girls at DWE. Shannon is no stranger to education as she has 12 years of teaching experience in Fort Bend ISD. She has two daughters (Brooke and Reese) who are going into fourth and second grade. She also has a very fast two year old (Tyler) who keeps her on her toes at all times. Shannon has been married to her wonderful husband Bryce for 12 years. She enjoys fishing, roller blading, and being with her family and friends.

Lindsey Mahan is ecstatic to be a Dolphin this year! This will be her 8th year in education. She has taught fourth, kindergarten, and first grade. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, two-year-old daughter, and pug. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is building relationships and watching her students reach their full potential. She cannot wait to share her love of teaching with her 4th-grade students at DWE!
