Inspiring Moment (Big Heroes: Tiny Homes)
In this monthβs Inspiring Moment, we see how Humble ISD students have been actively building tiny homes meant to provide a temporary home for homeless veterans since 2018. In partnership with Langetree Retreat & Eco Center, Operation Finally Home and Lowe's the program has now produced 21 homes for the property.
Science Olympiad
Twenty-eight Humble ISD elementary schools competed in this year's Science Olympiad, a hands-on competition that challenges fifth-grade students to apply science concepts through real-world problem-solving.

The Math Olympiad helps fourth- and fifth-grade students develop advanced problem-solving skills through challenging, non-routine math problems while fostering a love of mathematics.

HERO 2026 Robotics
HERO is a robotics competition for fourth- and fifth-grade students that challenges teams to program autonomous LEGO robots to complete a series of tasks requiring problem-solving, computational thinking and teamwork. Finalist teams also participate in a Coding Design Challenge that combines creativity with computer science skills.

Hosted annually by Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), the Tommy Tune Awards celebrate excellence in high school musical theatre across the greater Houston area, recognizing achievement in performance, production and arts education.

UIL State Wrestling Champion
Humble High junior Sean Perez won the Class 6A 190-pound state title at the 2026 UIL Wrestling State Tournament, finishing undefeated at 52-0 and becoming the first boy in Humble ISD history to win a UIL Wrestling State Title. He later placed fourth in the Junior 182-pound division at the NHSCA High School Nationals in Virginia Beach.

UIL Soccer State Champions
Kingwood High School girls soccer advanced to the programβs 10th UIL State Tournament this season. Kingwood went on to defeat Forney 4-2 in penalty kicks to win the match 2-1 to capture the programβs 3rd overall State Championship and first since 1999.
