Monday, September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month! This day is especially meaningful because it celebrates the independence of five countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
To kick off the celebrations, we invite all students to wear their Hispanic attire on Monday. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate their culture, learn about the history of Hispanic Heritage Month, and share in the joy of this special occasion.
Thank you for helping us make this day festive and meaningful!

Today, Ms. Simmons and her 4th grade class were busy #doingscience! π
Their objective was: βI can observe patterns and ask questions to help me describe matter.β
During the lesson, students asked a thoughtful question: Would the taste change if you made a root beer float with different sodas?
To support their curiosity, Ms. Simmons provided three different kinds of soda along with vanilla ice cream so students could explore and compare. The class had a wonderful time investigating, observing, and discussing their resultsβtruly bringing science to life! π©βπ¬π¨βπ¬
