Reminder: The Humble ISD Transition Fair is tomorrow Saturday, 2/21 from 9am-Noon at Kingwood Middle School!

Join us for a Parent Resource and Transition Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 21, at Kingwood Middle School, 2407 Pine Terrace Drive.

Families and students with disabilities of all ages are welcome to come and learn about community and government resources supporting individuals with disabilities.

NBE's 1st graders will be performing at culture night on Wednesday, March 11th, at 5:30 pm! Students may wear attire that represents their culture/heritage/Texas roots. We hope to see you there!

We have an amazing local book store, The Book Readers Venue, located in downtown Humble at 802 1st St. E Suite 200, Humble 77338. The owner Sherrele has shared her latest event to close out the year on December 20, 25 from 1 pm-3 pm. Author of Lucy Sings on Lucy Street, Lawrence Roberts, will be there selling his book and telling his story. This is a great chance to get out and meet an author.

🐝 Scripps Spelling Bee Update! 📚
Today we began the first stages of our spelling bee! Please encourage your child to practice saying the word clearly and then spelling it correctly. In class, Ms. Craig will pronounce the word, your child will repeat it for clarification, spell it confidently, and then say the word again to finish. Let’s get those spelling skills buzzing! ✨🔤🐝

The Book Fair will be November 10-14. Adults may attend the Book Fair with their NBE child/ren during their grade level time. That schedule will be coming to you later.

Please consider setting up an eWallet. It is cleaner, easier, and safer than cash. Of course, I will still take cash and debit or credit cards. Please put cash in a baggie and label it with your child’s name.

As a volunteer, if you purchase $20.00 or more (excluding tax) at the Book Fair, you will receive $5.00 off your total purchase. Please make childcare arrangements for your smaller children, as they cannot attend the Book Fair while you are volunteering.

Humble ISD Police will be hosting National Night Out at their Police Department from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1911 Wilson Road in Humble. There will be Police Department tours, food, music, vehicle tours, face painting, gun lock giveaways, touch-a-truck and bingo.
