Computer maintenance students learned to take apart computers during class this week.

The football team opens its season Saturday night against Montgomery at Turner Stadium.

Students were able to spend the lunch hour visiting with colleges from across the state and nation. Representatives of universities and colleges were on hand to answer questions and pass out information.

The band performed its preview in the school parking lot on Aug. 27. They will perform at the first football game on Saturday.

Seniors celebrated the start of their final year with a Senior Sunrise breakfast on the football field Aug. 23.

The first pep rally of the year was held on Aug. 23 and had a USA theme.


Principals, teachers, cheerleaders and mascots were on hand to welcome families to Open House on Monday night.


Students in Journalism and Photojournalism worked with the KP Media cameras to practice compositional elements in class on Wednesday.


The volleyball team opened its season with scrimmages all weekend. They have their first official game on Tuesday night at Kingwood Park.

Students returned to classes on Wednesday morning as the 2024-25 school year got underway.


Walk the Park was held on Saturday morning. Students were able to walk their schedules as they prepare for the school year to begin on Wednesday.
