Deerwood went GOLD as our Dolphins came together to show their support and raise awareness for pediatric cancer. 💛
We are proud to stand together, spread awareness, and show our support for the brave children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
This week, our Dolphins participated in the Kids First Program, a hands-on empathy workshop designed to help students better understand some of the challenges their peers may experience. Through interactive stations, students gained new perspectives while building empathy, understanding, and kindness.
A HUGE thank you to our amazing DWE PTA and all of our wonderful volunteers who gave their time to make this meaningful experience possible for our students! We appreciate you helping our Dolphins learn to see the world through different eyes.

Deerwood's Annual Grandparents Day will be Friday, September 11th. As a courtesy to our guests, DWE staff will be parking on the street to leave the parking lots open for our special visitors on event day!
Students are welcome to invite a grandparent, a family member, family friend or another special adult in their life. Unlike the Thanksgiving Feast, visitors will be unable to purchase a school lunch, but are encouraged to bring their lunch.
Please make note of our adjusted lunch times for the day.
To make our day go more smoothly, please RSVP for all guests and stop by Deerwood to have your identification scanned before September 11th.
