Harris County has asked multiple communities in our school district to evacuate. As you know, heavy rainfall caused Lake Conroe, Lake Livingston, Lake Houston, both the East and West Forks of the San Jacinto River, and other creeks to rise. Additionally, authorities are planning a massive release of water from both Lake Conroe and Lake Livingston, which will bring the East and the West forks of the San Jacinto River to major flood stages – impacting many of our staff, students, families, and community members.
While we had planned to wait for an 8 PM weather and flooding update from Houston Flood Control, inundation maps have made any predicted rainfall for tomorrow morning moot. The release of Lakes Livingston and Conroe will give us more water than we can safely handle, so there will be no school Friday, May 3, 2024.
Our 2023-2024 academic calendar included ample state-required instructional minutes to accommodate such a weather-related closure, eliminating the need for a make-up day.

All Humble ISD offices and campuses will be closed March 11-15 for Spring Break. Classes resume on Monday, March 18, for middle and high school students. Elementary students have a student holiday/staff workday and will resume classes on Tuesday, March 19.

Humble ISD will be OPEN Wednesday, January 17. Road conditions have improved. Classes will begin at normal time. School buses and activities will operate on the normal schedule.
Humble ISD will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Icy roads are not expected to improve by Tuesday morning and there will be very cold wind chills. Stay safe and warm!

Winter Break is Here! Wishing all of our families a very happy holiday season! Humble ISD will be closed Dec. 18 through Jan. 1. Staff return Jan. 2 and all classes resume on Jan. 3.
Boo at the Barn: AHS, HHS & SCHS FFA presents Boo at the Barn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, at the South Ag Farm, 1700 Wilson Road in Humble. Admission is a a canned food item. Costumes are encouraged! There will be trick-or-treating, animals, chicken bingo, concessions, $5 unlimited inflatables, mechanical bull, and more! Hope to see you there!

New fall items are arriving at the Humble ISD Spirit Store, located at the Administration Building, 10203 Birchridge Dr. It is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Shop fun, unique items made by students in the Mosaic program – an innovative 18+ transition program for students who have received special education services and meet specific eligibility requirements. Students in Mosaic have the opportunity to work in the production lab and to operate the store. They bake dog treats, make wooden signs, lazy susans, t-shirts, coasters, wind chimes and much more. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Friday, September 15, is Humble ISD's GOLD FIGHT WIN Day. Students and staff are encouraged to wear Gold Fight Win T-shirts to help raise awareness about pediatric cancer. More information at www.humbleisd.net/goldfightwin.
