Severe Weather Dismissal Reminders

Don't forget about our severe weather dismissal procedures!

All parents/guardians picking up any student(s) must have a dismissal number. Any parent/guardian picking up a child at Door 8, Door 13, or in a car rider line without a dismissal number will be asked to go to the front office to check out their child. The dismissal of students from the office will happen at the conclusion of the dismissal process for the campus.

Car Riders

  • Car rider lines will run as usual, but will run slower. Parents/guardians picking up students in the car rider lines must have their student’s dismissal number displayed in the windshield.

Bikers & Walkers

  • No students will be released from campus on their own as walkers or bikers.

  • Bikers and walkers can become car riders and be picked up in the car rider line that the parent/guardian designated on the SFE Dismissal Form at the beginning of the school year.

  • Autumn Sage walkers can be picked up by parents/guardians at Door Number 13. This is along the east side of campus near the painted sensory path sidewalk. Parents/guardians picking up students at this door must have/know their student’s dismissal number (picture of the number is acceptable).

  • Mills Branch walkers can be picked up by parents/guardians at Door Number 8. This is along the north side of campus near the picnic tables and bike racks. Parents/guardians picking up students at this door must have/know their student’s dismissal number (picture of the number is acceptable).

  • In order to keep consistency for our students, bikers being met by parents/guardians can be picked up at Door Number 8. This is along the north side of campus near the picnic tables and bike racks. Parents/guardians picking up students at this door must have/know their student’s dismissal number (picture of the number is acceptable)

Buses & YMCA

  • Day Care and Humble ISD Bus routes will run as usual.

  • YMCA will be on campus as usual unless you are otherwise notified by the YMCA of changes to their program for the day.

Safety Patrol

There will be no safety patrol on severe weather dismissal days. You can pick up your students in the car rider line when we begin dismissal and not wait until the end.
