📰: UIL State Academic Competition Update: We are so proud of our SC Journalism students, Ms. Wood, and our UIL Academic program. BOTH Cayden A. and Stephanie W. qualified to travel to Austin where they competed against the top students from all over the state in journalism events. Cayden finished in the TOP 12 news writers in the state! Stephanie Wong earned 3rd PLACE in BOTH headline writing and copy editing in the entire STATE! Go Academic Dawgs!

Our Summer Creek Girl’s Track Team and Journalism students were honored at the May Board Meeting this past week. 🎉🐾 🏃‍♀️Our Girls’ Track Team was honored for placing 3rd as a Team in the 6A UIL State Meet! 📰Cayden Affleck and Stephanie Wong were honored for qualifying for the 2025 UIL All-State Journalism Staff!

Congratulations to SCHS senior Jan Chojnacki on signing with Arkansas State! Jan plays with the Woodlands Youth Rugby Club and committed to Division 1 Rugby at Arkansas, one of the top rugby schools in the country. We are so proud of Jan! 🖊️ 🐾 🏉

Congratulations to Chloe Muniz on being named the DISTRICT and SUMMER CREEK AVID STUDENT OF THE YEAR!! 🎉🎓 Chloe has been a wonderful role model for the AVID Program and was nominated by several teachers and staff members. She has been a trained peer tutor, a member of RICE University Leadership, and instrumental with recruitment at our middle schools. We are so proud of Chloe and wish her continued success!

Mrs. Hartline, the lead AVID teacher at Summer Creek, shares SCHS’s AVID Speaker Series with the district. Our Bulldogs lead the pack in establishing a network that takes them from college and career ready to leaders in the field. We are proud of our students, AVID program, and teachers!

We ended Teacher Appreciation Week with floats, desserts, and a soda bar for our teachers provided by our awesome Student Council! 🐾✨🍪 🥤 THANK YOU, SCHS TEACHERS! 🩷

This week, we celebrated Nurse and Testing Coordinator Appreciation Days! Thank you to Nurse Wiley and Nurse Lefler for taking great care of our Bulldogs every day. Shoutout to Ms. Schwartzenburg for her hard work in making sure testing runs smoothly on our campus. Thank you!
