All hail the real MVPs! Our assistant principals rule the halls with leadership, heart, and a steady hand when it matters most. KMS runs strong because of you. #KMSCougarPride

From simmer to serve, our culinary students turned simple ingredients into something special today.

We are leveling up for STAAR, and our 6th grade students are all in!

Join us in the KMS Library for a special Senior Reception honoring all of our Class of 2026 former Cougar graduates. Refreshments will be served.

Kingwood Middle brought the momentum to the A+ Academic UIL District Meet! With an outstanding 181 points, they secured 4th place overall, a true testament to their preparation and drive.

6th grade World Cultures students learned a lot about current environmental issues our world is facing. Students created infographics to explain these challenges, effects, and ongoing solutions!

Grading like STAAR pros! Students analyzed 0β1β2 constructive responses and graded their own work! Then we leveled up with a Survival of the Fittest game using our reading, annotating, and competing to figure out which traits survive and why!

KMS is excited to welcome our new campus officer, Officer Cabrera. Looks like KC the Cougar has already given the official seal of approval! Weβre grateful to have Officer Cabrera helping keep our campus safe and supporting our students every day.

Itβs summary salad time! Students worked together to find the best summary for their text.

In programming, students are learning to program our Vex IQ robots for autonomous programming.

6th grade RELA tackled their first 4 paragraph essay. Intro with a thesis βοΈ2 body paragraphs with supporting evidenceβοΈ & a conclusionβοΈ to say Iβm proud to see these hard working faces is an understatement. #KMSCOUGARPRIDE

6th graders are diving deeper into the influence of geographic factors this unit! Each map shows the same hypothetical country, but with different information to unpack. Same guiding questions with so many different answers to compare - thatβs #ThinkingLikeAGeographer!

Happy 100th day of school! To celebrate, AVID created 100 bookmarks for the Kingwood Library, 100 letters of appreciation for our local fire department and police department, and 100 encouraging notes for a local nursing home.

The Humble ISD Rodeo Art Show is not short on talent! If you couldnβt make it last night, another showing is TONIGHT, Jan. 29, at the Humble Civic Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Big congratulations to our Teacher of the Year!
Ms. Elolf is an incredible 8th grade history teacher who brings the past to life, challenges students to think deeply, and makes learning meaningful. We are so proud to celebrate her impact on our campus! #KMSCougarPride

Our applied engineering students are working on our water bottle rockets project!

Todayβs pep rally gave our future 6th graders a sneak peek at whatβs ahead, and the excitement was real! We loved having them on campus and cannot wait to welcome them back next year! #KMSCougarPride #FutureCougars

Humble ISD will be OPEN Tuesday, January 27. Classes will begin at normal time. School buses and activities will operate on the normal schedule.
We understand that because of the cold some families may need extra time in the morning and may choose to take students to school rather than have them wait outside at bus stops. To provide flexibility, middle schools and high schools will not record student tardies for the first period on Tuesday. Elementary schools will not record student tardies until after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The district is allowed to exempt first period tardiness due to the weather. However, absences on Tuesday must be recorded due to state education code requirements.
We appreciate your support through the winter storm.
