Those who nominated her said, “Her nomination shares that she consistently goes above and beyond in her role, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her students and their overall well-being. Ms. Tess works tirelessly to ensure her students’ needs are met—not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. She thoughtfully adapts instruction each day to support individual learning needs, continually encouraging her students to grow, improve, and push beyond their perceived limits. What truly sets Ms. Tess apart is her dedication to creating meaningful, real-world experiences. She actively engages her students in activities beyond the classroom, such as participating in recycling initiatives and navigating breakfast and lunch routines in the cafeteria. These opportunities foster independence, responsibility, and confidence.”
