Humble ISD has had 10 campuses, including more than 44 counselors, selected as winners for the prestigious Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas (CREST) Award for their work in the 2022-2023 school year.

“Winning this accolade is no small feat, and achieving it on such a grand scale is a testament to the unwavering commitment of Humble ISD school counselors and the Counseling and Behavioral Services Department to providing top-tier educational and counseling services to students,” Humble ISD Director of Personalized Counseling Tye Hobbs said. “This remarkable feat not only underscores the commitment of school counselors in fostering the well-being of students but also places Humble ISD in the spotlight for its outstanding dedication to academic, social and emotional growth.”

The CREST Award is a symbol of excellence in counseling services, recognizing school counselors for their exceptional contributions to student development, academic achievement, and overall well-being.

“Students in Humble ISD are reaping the benefits of a comprehensive personalized counseling program that addresses their academic, personal, and social needs,” Hobbs said. “The winning schools and counselors have demonstrated a commitment to empowering students to overcome obstacles, set goals, and develop the skills necessary for success in both their academic and personal lives.”
