Forever a Knight.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of our beloved Knight, Zion, a proud member of the Class of 2025.

Zion was a young woman with a heart full of dreams and a love that always began at home. She proudly became part of the Raider family, dreamed of earning a degree in finance, and hoped to one day open a bakery where she could share her passion for baking with others. To those who knew her best, she was an incredible daughter, the most amazing older sister, and someone whose greatest joy was loving and caring for her family.

Though her journey was far too short, her kindness, ambition, and beautiful spirit will forever remain a part of our Knight family. Her legacy reminds us to pursue our dreams, love our families deeply, and leave every place a little brighter than we found it.

Zion will forever hold a place in our hearts, and she will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. πŸ’™πŸ•ŠοΈ #KNIGHTSUNITE #FamilyHumbleisd #RaiderFamily

Today, our Knights are back on campus, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our incredible facilitators for the start of a new school year!

As we prepare to lead, close the gap, and continue inspiring and empowering every student, we began the year with an important reminder: it all starts with us.

Today, we looked into the mirror, reflected on the impact we have, and made a commitment to BE THE ONE.

✨ Be the one who shows up.
✨ Be the one who cares.
✨ Be the one who sees the potential in every student.
✨ Be the one who encourages.
✨ Be the one who listens.
✨ Be the one who believes.
✨ Be the one who inspires.
✨ Be the one who creates opportunities.
✨ Be the one who never gives up.
✨ Be the one who makes a differenceβ€”every single day.

Together, we are building a culture where every student is known, supported, challenged, and celebrated.

We wrapped up the day at Main Event, where our facilitators enjoyed a little friendly Knight competition, strengthening relationships, building teamwork, and reminding us that the best teams grow together both inside and outside the classroom.

The 2026–2027 school year is here, and we're stepping into it with a renewed mindset, a shared purpose, and one mission: to make a lasting impact.

We are here. We are ready. And WE ARE THE ONE!πŸ’šβš”οΈπŸ’›

Welcome back teachers & staff

Today, the Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School family came together to dedicate a Little Gem Magnolia Tree n honor of our beloved Knight, Zion.

A magnolia tree symbolizes strength, perseverance, dignity, and everlasting love. As it grows through the years, we hope it serves as a living reminder of Zion's beautiful spirit, the dreams she carried, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her.

What made today even more meaningful was seeing our community come together in support of Zion's family. From Humble ISD, Humble Police Department, Atascocita Fire Department, our students, staff, families, local businesses, and community members, your presence reminded us of what it truly means to be a Knight.

A heartfelt thank you to @Beasleys Nursery and Landscape for generously donating the Little Gem Magnolia and helping us create a place of remembrance and hope for our campus. We also extend our sincere appreciation to DJ Kayenne for providing the music that brought warmth to the event, and to our wonderful vendors, Card My Yard, Solber Pupusas, Chill Vibez, and Lake Houston Chamber for being part of this special day.

Today was more than a tree dedication; it was a testament to the power of compassion, unity, and community. In moments of joy and in moments of loss, we stand together, lift one another up, and remind each other that no one walks alone.

Zion will forever be a Knight, and her legacy will continue to grow with every season this magnolia blooms.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we heal. Together, we honor.πŸ’šβš”οΈπŸ’›

A big shoutout to Mrs. Lake-Garcia, Mrs. Kenney, Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Robles, and Mr. Erickson for representing Sconzo at the AVID Summer Institute! They spent time gaining new strategies, collaborating with educators, and preparing for an amazing 2026-2027 school year.

We can’t wait for them to bring back what they learned and share new ideas that will continue to support our students, strengthen our campus, and help every Knight reach their full potential.

Today, our hearts witnessed something truly special.

In the midst of unimaginable loss, the Humble ISD community came together with one purpose: to surround Zion’s family with love, compassion, and unwavering support.

Because of your incredible generosity, we have already reached approximately 70% of our goal. Every donation, every share, every prayer, and every kind word is a reminder that Zion’s family is not walking this journey alone.

To Zion’s mom, family, and loved ones, we hope you can feel the love that has poured in from every corner of Humble ISD. Please know we are grieving with you, praying for you, and standing beside you.

Thank you, Humble ISD, for showing what it truly means to be a family. If you’re able, please continue sharing the fundraiser as we work together to reach our goal.

Humble ISD, We Need You.
Today, we are calling on our entire Humble ISD family to come together in support of one of our own, our beloved Knight, Zion.
Zion was more than a student. She was a member of our Raider family, a proud graduate of the Class of 2025, a loving older sister, and a young woman with dreams of earning a finance degree and one day opening her own bakery. Her kindness, determination, and love for her family left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Today, we ask our entire Humble ISD community to stand with her family. We are calling on our Mustangs, Wildcats, Bulldogs, Panthers, Eagles, and every Humble ISD campus to unite with our Knights during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are able, please consider donating to the GoFundMe to help ease the burden on Zion's family. If you are unable to give, you can still make a tremendous difference by sharing this post and the GoFundMe link with your family, friends, and community.
Every donation, every share, and every prayer reminds Zion's family that they are not alone.
This is what it means to be Humble ISD.
