Summer Creek High School Army JROTC earned the championship title at the first-ever Humble ISD Commander’s Cup Competition, held this spring at the district’s JROTC obstacle course and Turner Stadium complex.
The inaugural event brought together all five Humble ISD JROTC programs to compete in a series of skill-based events designed to test leadership, teamwork and physical endurance.
Summer Creek’s winning team was recognized during the May 26, 2026, Recognition Board Meeting. The team was represented by Cadet Lt. Col. Alexandra Kozarsky, Cadet Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Nguyen, Cadet 1st Lt. Sophia Lozano, Cadet 1st Lt. Ashley Pereyda, Cadet Sgt. Maj. Alexander Angel and instructor Maj. Sammy Woodburn.

Kozarsky has also earned appointments to both the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Coast Guard Academy. She has chosen to attend the United States Coast Guard Academy following graduation.
