Dear Summer Creek High School Families of the Class of 2026,

We are excited to announce that Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, has been chosen as the venue for the SCHS Class of 2026 Graduation! The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Graduation Meeting for Seniors
Friday, May 22, 2026
10:30 a.m. in the Competition Gym

Tickets will not be required. Families can bring as many guests as they would like to graduation at Daikin Park.

Parking Information for Daikin:
Paid lots will be open. Parking is CASHLESS. Carpooling is strongly recommended.

  • Handicapped parking available in each of these lots on a first come first serve basis.

Graduation FAQs

Q. Where will students enter and what time do they arrive?
ALL GRADUATES SHOULD ARRIVE to Daikin Park BY 12:30 p.m. BE ON TIME.
 

  • Parents are strongly encouraged to drop their student(s) off!

  • There will be traffic. Leave early to give yourself plenty of time to arrive and/or park without having to rush.

  • Graduates will enter the stadium through the LEFT FIELD GATE ENTRANCE located on Crawford Street. 

Q. Where do parents and guests enter and what time are they allowed in?
Family members will not be allowed to accompany graduates into the check-in area. Families and guests must enter through either the
Home Plate Entrance located on Hamilton Street, or the South Home Plate Entrance located on Texas Street, both of which will open at 1 p.m. 

Programs will not be available at the ceremony. Guests should bring the programs included in the graduation packet. 

Q. What items can graduates have?
Graduates should not bring personal belongings with them to the graduation ceremony. 

  • Bring only your cap/tassel and gown (have it on) AND your name card (handed out at packet pick-up). Students are not permitted to have cell phones in the ceremony. 

  • Leave bags, purses, cell phones, and all personal belongings with a family member/guest or hidden and locked in your car.  

  • We will check each graduate as they arrive; you will be asked to return personal or prohibited items, including your cell phone, to your car, or we will place them in a Ziploc bag and hold it at the check-in table for the duration of the ceremony. 

Q. What items are prohibited at Daikin Park?
Bags exceeding 16” x 16” x 8” and backpacks are not permitted inside Daikin Park. Signs, noisemakers, and balloons are not allowed because they interfere with other families hearing their child’s name or seeing their child walk across the stage.

Q. What is the graduation attire?
Graduates should dress nicely and appropriately for the occasion. 

  • Slacks and a button down dress shirt for boys. Dress, skirt, or dress pants for girls. No shorts or jeans.

  • Wear shoes that you can walk comfortably in. Daikin Park is BIG! You will be standing for a long time, walking up/down stairs, and walking in front of a lot of people and do not want to fall!

  • You may NOT decorate or alter your cap or gown in any way.  

Q. Are stoles and cords permitted to be worn?
Qualifying students may wear speciality stoles provided by the campus, which include: 

  • National Honor Society - white collar with NHS emblem 

  • Top Ten Graduates 

  • Senior Class Officers

  • Student Body Officers

  • HHS IB Diploma

Qualifying students may wear honor cords that are provided by the campus. Cords provided by outside organizations, and/or cords purchased independently by the student/parent are not permitted. 

Any other type of neckwear MUST be approved by the campus Principal.

Q. Where do graduates pick-up their diplomas?
Graduates will have diploma pick up as follows:

  • Dates:  May 28th and May 29th

  • Time:  9 a.m. to Noon

  • Location:  Howard Cafeteria
