🏅🤩 Congrats to our SCHS FFA Chapter on their huge success at the Lake Houston District FFA! We are proud of all our students who placed and are advancing to area. A huge shout out to Payton Holland who was named the President of the LH District FFA!
Payton Holland, SCFFA member and current Chapter Secretary, is now the President of the Lake Houston District FFA! This is a huge accomplishment and she will be in charge of running all meetings, competitions, conventions, etc. for our FFA District which consists of all Humble ISD schools, HISD, Spring Branch, Huffman, Galena Park, and Crosby FFA Chapters. Student officers go through a vigorous election process that consists of a test, interview, speech, and peer vote.
Our SC FFA had 4 public speakers compete yesterday with 3 advancing to the Area Contest in May. Students had to write a 6-8 minute speech over an agricultural topic and perform their speech in front of a panel of judges. Placings can be seen below:

Karen Garcia-Marquez- Ag Policy 2nd place- Area Advancement
Abigail Wojtalewicz- Junior Prepared 2nd place- Area Advancement
Hailey Dowell- Animal Science 3rd place
