The art department is super proud of our RMS artists who rocked it out this weekend at our UIL visual arts scholastic event called VASE.
We brought 33 artists and 46 amazing artworks
Students were interviewed adjudicated by a judge to discuss the use of techniques, their knowledge of elements and principles of art and the overall aesthetics of the piece. If students score a 4 during the interview they receive a Gold Medal. All Gold medaled pieces are transported to a gallery space and adjudicated for top platinum winners- the best of the best. (At the high school level a platinum award winner is someone who goes to state)
RMS brought home a total of 47 Awards overall
