The Student Library Advisory Council hosted its 3rd annual RMS Baking competition! This month in the library, our library students highlighted Nonfiction books and the importance they play in our everyday lives. 
To celebrate baking and cooking books in particular, SLAC partnered with our culinary and cooking departments to sponsor an exciting bake off event. The PTA generously donated prizes to be given to each winner of each category of the competition.
Students were instructed to bring a recipe with detailed information and present their baked items on Thursday, January the 29th at 9 am for final judging. The Student Library Advisory Council provided breakfast for all students and judges and our culinary teachers and top culinary students as well as our PTA president formally judged the baked entries and talked to all the contestants.
Our top winners for this year's bake off were Caden Ray and Gwen Ray for making standout desserts. Great fun was had by all and we are looking forward to next year's non-fiction book celebration and bake off!
