Celebrating Black History! 5th grade Choir put on a beautiful performance for our annual Black History Program. They sang inspiring songs about important African American historic figures, honoring their contributions and achievements that have made our world a better place.

Pre-K has been learning about community helpers in class and had a visit from the Humble Fire Department and Humble ISD police! Students got to see a firetruck and learned from real firefighters about the special equipment that they use. Students also got to sit inside of a police vehicle. We sure do appreciate our brave community helpers and how they keep us safe!
Our Pre-K kiddos visited with Humble High School FFA members and toured the ag barn, learning all about cows, pigs, and sheep. Students were able to observe the animals up-close and asked the high schoolers questions about how they raise their animals.
Humble ISD will be OPEN Wednesday, January 17. Road conditions have improved. Classes will begin at normal time. School buses and activities will operate on the normal schedule.
Humble ISD will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Icy roads are not expected to improve by Tuesday morning and there will be very cold wind chills. Stay safe and warm!

Success! The Garden Club harvested snow peas in our garden and picked their first crop.
Ross Sterling Middle School's orchestra visited our 5th graders and put on a performance showcasing the different string instruments.
We enjoy our themed pods! Students use them as flex learning spaces where they can read and complete classwork right outside their classrooms.
Students kick off the new year with team building activities, reinforcing that we are stronger working together.
3rd grader Madelyn Lopez won the Harris County Fire Marshal's coloring contest! Various emergency vehicles paraded in front of our school with lights and sirens blazing to celebrate her award, and she was given a special gift from the Harris County Fire Marshal. We are proud of our Wildcat!
Our students showed off their many talents at our annual Winter Showcase! Kindergartners performed the Very, Very Gingerbread Man, and 5th graders played their instruments to a variety of classics. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade choir members beautifully sang Christmas songs. It was a packed house, and the audience enjoyed seeing their wildcats shine!

Run, Run Rudolph! Our students participated in the Holiday Fun Run - Around the World.
Look at our adorable reindeer! Students are getting into the holiday spirit and dressing up in our daily winter themes. Oh what fun!
The Sports Leadership Club students have worked on their basketball, soccer and throwing/catching skills. They also made knotted blankets for those in our community going through cancer treatment. They have shown to be great leaders in our school!

Come Count & Read With Me was a hit! Under the direction of our dynamic Instructional Coaches, parents learned about math and reading instruction, areas of focus, and strategies to use with their children. Students had the opportunity to work with their parents through various learning stations, applying critical math and reading skills.
