Humble ISD is proud to announce its Top 10 finalists for District Teacher of the Year for 2026-2027.

Congratulations to:

Elementary Finalists

  • Anita McKeague - Elm Grove Elementary, Fourth Grade RELA

  • Monica Suastes - Humble Elementary, Second Grade Bilingual

  • Narocka Bolden - Lakeland Elementary, Fifth Grade

  • Marina Tiscareno - Oak Forest Elementary, First Grade Bilingual

  • Lindsey Munn - Shadow Forest Elementary, Second Grade

Secondary Finalists

  • Rebecca Shepherd - Creekwood Middle School, Science

  • Ashley Williams - Humble Middle School, Math

  • Jillian Elolf - Kingwood Middle School, Social Studies

  • Evan Farmer - Kingwood Park High School, Orchestra

  • Champale Thomas - Summer Creek High School, English

Finalists are selected by the District Teacher of the Year Selection Committee based upon written application materials. Once selected, finalists are then interviewed by the Committee.

During the Humble ISD Education Foundation Boots & Bling fundraising event on April 10, one of the finalists will be announced as Elementary Teacher of the Year and one will be announced as Secondary Teacher of the Year. One of these two will also be named District Teacher of the Year.

The Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year will both represent Humble ISD in the Region 4 Teacher of the Year contest that occurs during the summer.

The 10 Finalists were selected from the 50 Campus Teachers of the Year.
