Join us September 21–25 as Lake Houston Middle School celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a week of fun, learning, and school spirit! 🎉
Each day, students and staff are invited to participate in a themed dress-up day highlighting different parts of Hispanic and Latino history, culture, art, sports, and traditions:
🌎 Monday – Colors of Our Cultures: Flag Colors Day
Wear the colors of a Hispanic/Latino country flag or culture!
⚽🏀 Tuesday – ¡Vamos Equipo!: Hispanic Sports Day
Wear a favorite sports jersey representing a Hispanic/Latino athlete, team, sport, or club!
⭐ Wednesday – Hispanic Icons: Dress Like History Day
Honor an influential Hispanic/Latino figure who has made an impact in history, science, sports, the arts, leadership, or our communities.
🎨🌺 Thursday – Arte y Cultura Day
Celebrate creativity with bright colors, floral patterns, art-inspired clothing, or a shirt featuring Hispanic/Latino art.
🤠 Friday – Vaquero y Vaquera Viernes: Boots & Roots
Break out the boots, jeans, western shirts, and cowboy hats as we celebrate the Spanish and Mexican vaquero traditions that helped shape the American West!
Participation is optional, and there is no need to purchase anything new, get creative with what you already have! All outfits should be school appropriate and follow LHMS dress-code expectations.
