UIL State Wrestling

Humble ISD will be well represented this weekend, February 13-14, at the Berry Center in Cy-Fair ISD at the UIL Wrestling State Tournament.

Ten wrestlers from Humble ISD qualified for the UIL Wrestling State Tournament after qualifying at their respective Regional Wrestling Tournaments.

Boys State Qualifiers

  • Tristan Rodriguez (26-7 Record) - Kingwood Park (Class 5A - 157 Pound Weight Class)

  • Julian Galvis (31-10 Record) - Atascocita (Class 6A - 144 Pound Weight Class)

  • Justin Bryant (42-2 Record) - Atascocita (Class 6A - 150 Pound Weight Class)

  • David Sekumade (34-3 Record) - Atascocita (Class 6A - 157 Pound Weight Class)

  • Sean Perez (48-0 Record) - Humble (Class 6A - 190 Pound Weight Class)

  • Alexander Escobar (42-12 Record) - Humble (Class 6A - 215 Pound Weight Class)

  • Zayde Facchetti (43-2 Record) - Kingwood (Class 6A - 215 Pound Weight Class)

  • Oscar Hernandez (22-2 Record) - Atascocita (Class 6A - 285 Pound Weight Class)

Girls State Qualifiers

  • Emmie Guitron (37-3 Record) - Atascocita (Class 6A - 100 Pound Weight Class)

  • Emilia Martinez (28-3 Record) - Summer Creek (Class 6A - 135 Pound Weight Class)

Humble ISD had nine wrestlers advance to the UIL State Wrestling Tournament as an alternate.

Wrestling action will begin on Friday, February 13 at 8:30 a.m. with Boys Championship Round 1 action, while the girls will begin at 11 a.m.

Wrestlers will advance through their respective weight class bracket to advance to Saturday’s Championship Semifinals and ultimate Championship matches, which begin at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.
