We will be having rainy day dismissal due to the weather. If it is unsafe to release students at dismissal time they will be held in their dismissal area until the weather improves.

Harris County has asked multiple communities in our school district to evacuate. As you know, heavy rainfall caused Lake Conroe, Lake Livingston, Lake Houston, both the East and West Forks of the San Jacinto River, and other creeks to rise. Additionally, authorities are planning a massive release of water from both Lake Conroe and Lake Livingston, which will bring the East and the West forks of the San Jacinto River to major flood stages – impacting many of our staff, students, families, and community members.
While we had planned to wait for an 8 PM weather and flooding update from Houston Flood Control, inundation maps have made any predicted rainfall for tomorrow morning moot. The release of Lakes Livingston and Conroe will give us more water than we can safely handle, so there will be no school Friday, May 3, 2024.
Our 2023-2024 academic calendar included ample state-required instructional minutes to accommodate such a weather-related closure, eliminating the need for a make-up day.

Join JFE 4th Graders on May 14 at 10am as they share their projects detailing the Regions of Texas. All visitors must check in via the front office and must have a valid ID.
Second Grade students enjoyed visiting the Houston Interactive Aquarium and getting the opportunity to touch a variety of animals.
Join JFE on May 15 at 10am to see the 5th graders present their research projects on Tastes Around the World. All visitors must have a valid ID and will check in with the front office.
Join us for Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, April 18 from 5:30-6:30pm. Staff will be on hand starting at 5pm to collect required documents for registration- birth certificate, immunizations, proof of residency, etc.
Campus is closed to Visitors on April 9, 10, 11, 16, 23, 24, and 25 due to STAAR Testing. Parents will not be allowed to have lunch with their students on those days.
