Humble ISD Police Records

The primary function of the Records Division is collecting, maintaining, filing, and distributing all of the records and reports for the Humble ISD Police Department according to the policies and procedures set forth by the Department as well as State and Federal guidelines.

These records include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Arrest Reports

  • Incident Reports

  • Accident Reports

  • Supplemental Reports

Texas Open Records Act

Texas law gives you the right to access certain government records. Most government information is presumed to be available to the public. Several exceptions apply to law enforcement information. Governmental bodies should promptly release requested information that is not confidential by law, statutes, family or health codes, or information for which an exception to disclosure has been sought.  

To request records under the Public Information Act, you may submit a request to the Humble ISD General Counsel's Office at JustFOIA Request.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that requires school districts, universities and other educational entities to maintain confidentiality with information concerning students enrolled in their schools and universities.

Information is not allowed to be released that could identify any students enrolled in the school. Information that could lead to the identification of a student that is enrolled in school cannot be released without the parent / guardian written authorization.

POLICE REPORT RELATED TO A PENDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION

For police reports related to a pending criminal prosecution, you are required to contact the Humble ISD General Counsel's Office to make an Open Records Request. You may contact them at 281-641-1000 or email open records.
