The mission of the Groves Elementary School library is to encourage a life-long love of reading and prepare students to be future-ready learners by:

• Creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff and community members.

• Cultivating a consciously curated, diverse, quality library collection that encourages students to voraciously read for pleasure and individual inquiry.

• Collaborating with teachers across the curriculum on learning objectives and lessons as a partner to the classroom.

• Teaching students how to effectively use and evaluate print and digital resources.

• Provide students and staff with opportunities to use and learn a wide variety of 21st century technology while establishing a collaborative environment in which to create and explore.
