A Message From the Principal:
Welcome back, GATORS!!! The first day of school is tomorrow, August 9, 2023!
Thank you to all of our families/students that attended the "Gator Walkβ this past Saturday!
Here are a few reminders to ensure a great first day!
Get a good nightβs sleep!
Wake up early to have breakfast and report to school in dress code!
Plan to arrive at school early! Doors open at 7:50 a.m. - Student are allowed to enter using the front entrance (Door #1) or the bus ramp entrance (Door #15) only.
Parents will not be allowed in the building tomorrow. Students will report directly to the gym to get their schedules. Students will report to class at 8:20 a.m.
Students will be asked to copy their schedule or take a picture of it if they have cell phones.
Car riders are not allowed to be dropped off in the front parking log/back bus ramp or the sides of the buildings. These areas are reserved for our staff and our special transportation buses. For safety reasons, please follow our morning and afternoon procedures.
Student Arrival
Doors open at 7:50 a.m. for students to enter the building. Students dropped off prior to this time are not supervised, so please plan to arrive as close to 7:50 a.m. as possible. Breakfast will be available for students from 7:50-8:20 a.m.
All car riders must be dropped off using the front entrance car rider loop. Student drop off is not allowed using the back bus rider entrance. Please follow the directional signage and traffic flow.
Upon entering, all vehicles must take an immediate right to follow the car rider loop to drop your child off.
Do not drive through cones or restricted areas.
Drive slowly while on campus to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
Remind your child to βStay on the Sidewalkβ and βUse the red light crossing signalβ each day!
Lunch Expectations
Students will be informed of their lunch period during 4th period on the first day of school.
Students may bring a lunch to school. ARMS does not have microwaves for students to use.
We do not allow 3rd party food deliveries for students. Items left unattended or delivered against this policy will be discarded if they are not picked up by the end of the day by the parent.
Students may only receive food items from authorized contacts listed in eSchool.
Authorized contacts delivering food items must enter through the front of the building and must show their ID.
Students can be issued a disciplinary consequence for this code of conduct violation.
*** Students that have not completed their Annual Update or provided proof of immunizations will not receive a schedule. Checks will be done and phone calls to parents/guardians will be made by our staff.
Dismissal
Dismissal will begin at 4:00 p.m. - ARMS is dismissed by floors, so students will be dismissed slowly to allow for an orderly dismissal from our hallways.
If your child is a car rider they must exit the front of the building.
To keep the car rider line moving, parents may be asked to pull around or up to wait for their child. This prevents the line from being blocked for parents that have already picked up their child.
We can feel the excitement! We canβt wait to welcome our students back to school! Letβs have a great first day!!!
