Each May, National Speech-Language-Hearing Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders/impairments and the role of speech-language pathologists (better known as speech therapists) in providing life-altering assessment and intervention. Within this school-based setting and beyond, you are encouraged to be patient with your communication partners who may not sound like you or process/think as quickly as you do. Please remember that communication is one of our most precious gifts; use it to the best of your ability and see how high you soar!
