In February, Humble ISD held its district-wide spelling bee, bringing together contestants from elementary and middle school campuses to compete for the top prize.
After seven rounds, the championship word, candelabrum, sealed the victory for Creekwood Middle School’s Vihaansh Aravindh, earning him the title of 2026 Humble ISD Spelling Bee Champion. The runner-up was Oak Forest Elementary’s Ian Detres.
Aravindh will move on to compete in the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee hosted by Houston City College on March 28, 2026.
Congratulations to all our campus spelling bee winners and runner-ups for the 2026 contest.
