Humble ISD students earned top honors at the Texas DECA State Career Development Conference, winning state championships in three competitive events.
DECA is a career and technical education organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Through competition, students apply classroom learning to real-world business challenges.
The following students earned state championship titles, the highest honor awarded at the conference:
Benjamin Smajlovic, Summer Creek High School β Principles of Entrepreneurship
Joseph Freel and Broderick Rosello, Kingwood High School β School-Based Enterprise: Retail Operations
Timothy Pham, Atascocita High School β Start-Up Business Plan
