Humble ISD students aspiring to careers in healthcare are gaining hands-on experience while still in high school. In episode 39 of Ask an Expert, Summer Creek High School Health Science Instructor Alisha Smith explores the health science pathways available to students—including Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Pharmacy Technician, Dental, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She explains how these programs equip students with real-world skills, practicum-level experience, and industry certifications, preparing them for future success in the medical field.

Summer Creek junior Kennedy Simpson was named the Class 6A DI State Championship Game MVP. Simpson scored 21 points and went 14 of 20 from the free throw line to help seal Summer Creek girls basketball's first-ever State Championship!! #UILState

Summer Creek defeats Cibolo Steele 60-31 to advance to the Class 6A Division I State Championship game. This will be the first-ever state title game appearance for the Lady Bulldogs.
Summer Creek improves to 28-11 overall and has now won 22 of their last 24 games and nine-straight.

NEWS: Summer Creek defeats Pearland Dawson 58-42 to claim the 2025 Region III-6A Division I Championship and advances to the Class 6A Division I State Semifinals. 🏆
Summer Creek moves on to face San Antonio Brennan or Cibolo Steele in the State Semis. The Lady Bulldogs now head to their 4th UIL State Semifinal since 2019. This is the first time in program history they have gone back-to-back. This marks 4 trips to the State Semis for SCHS in the last 7 seasons. #ShineOn
