For the second year, Humble ISD has been named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT). The recognition honors the districtβs Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs for preparing students for college, careers and the workforce.
CTAT selects districts based on strong leadership, innovative programs, industry-based certifications, career pathways and partnerships that connect student learning to workforce needs.
Humble ISD continues to expand its CTE programs, with students earning twice as many industry-based certifications and more students completing a CTE program of study. Partnerships with businesses, industry leaders and education organizations across Greater Houston also help students explore careers and gain real-world experience.
βThese accomplishments reflect the dedication of our teachers, campus leaders, and community partners to preparing students for success beyond graduation,β Humble ISD CTE Director Larry Wilson said.
More than 200 middle and high school CTE teachers help make these opportunities possible, guiding students as they discover their interests, build practical skills and prepare for life after graduation.
