Four student artists from Humble ISD have been selected to showcase their artwork at txEDCON.
The selected students are:
Annabelle Bouquet, Greentree Elementary, Grade 5
Navi Harly, Woodland Hills Elementary, Grade 4
Alicia Salazar, Kingwood Middle School, Grade 7
Kiara Barnes, Summer Creek High School, Grade 11
Hosted annually by the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Association of School Boards, txEDCON brings together public school board members, superintendents and education administrators from across the state. The Texas Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month exhibition highlights student artwork and promotes the importance of quality visual arts programs at the local, regional and state levels.
Congratulations to the selected students and to art educators Heather Burdette (GTE), Amanda Joyce (WHE), Candice Scott (KMS) and Robin Clark (SCHS) for inspiring, encouraging and championing creativity in their classrooms every day!
