Harrison Alexander was honored at the Humble ISD Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 for earning two CompTIA certifications.
The Humble High School Class of 2025 graduate earned not only the CompTIA ITF, which validates the foundational knowledge of IT, but also the globally recognized credential of CompTIA A+.
Harrison is the first student from Humble High School to achieve these distinctions. He was joined by his CompTIA instructor Scott Ford during the recognition.
The CompTIA ITF is a pre-career certification that introduces fundamental IT concepts and skills. It covers a range of IT topics including hardware, software, networking, security and troubleshooting. This serves as a stepping stone to more advanced certifications.
The CompTIA A+ is recognized by employers as a benchmark for IT support professionals. Today, many job postings for IT support roles specifically mention this certification as a requirement or desired qualification.
