22nd Annual Fine Arts Festival is Saturday, May 3

Humble ISD invites the community to celebrate student creativity at the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lone Star College–Kingwood, located at 20000 Kingwood Drive.

Presented by the Humble ISD Fine Arts Department, this free, family-friendly event showcases the artistic talents of students from across the district. Guests can enjoy student art exhibits, live music performances by elementary and secondary students, an Artisan Market, hands-on creation stations, and food concessions.

The district-wide K–12 art exhibit will feature work from every Humble ISD campus. This adjudicated showcase will also include a People’s Choice Award, giving attendees the opportunity to vote for their favorite pieces. Winners will be announced for elementary, middle, and high school categories before the end of the festival. QR codes located throughout the venue will give visitors access to the digital event map, performance schedule, and People’s Choice voting form.

The Artisan Market will spotlight handcrafted wares created by Humble ISD art teachers and members of the local community. Meanwhile, creation stations will offer students the opportunity to explore their creativity through a wide variety of hands-on projects. This year’s activities include face painting, papel picado, glass bead magnets, sidewalk chalk art, origami, paper hats, screenprinting, watercolor mandalas, pipe cleaner bracelets, printmaking with markers, sand layering, shrinky dinks, metal tooling, coffee filter flowers, sticker design, tissue paper painting, flower crowns, wooden art snakes, and clothespin crafts.

Join us for a celebration of the arts that brings together students, families, and the community in support of creativity throughout Humble ISD.
