Ms. Peter currently serves as an assistant principal at Riverwood Middle School.
“As a campus principal, I will create a warm and positive environment where students will know they are loved, staff will feel encouraged and supported, and parents will feel welcome to join our community,” Ms. Peter said. “Together we will teach and guide our students, and pursue our own learning.”
Ms. Peter has served as the Assistant Principal at Riverwood Middle School since 2021. She brings 18 years of experience in education with the last nine years being in Humble ISD.
Ms. Peter has served as an assistant principal, Reading, English, Language Arts (RELA) instructional coach, and a RELA teacher for grades sixth, seventh and eighth. She has worked at Riverwood and Atascocita middle schools in Humble ISD. She has also worked for Crosby ISD and Lansing School District 158 in Illinois.
Ms. Peter is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Olivet Nazarene University.
Lake Houston Middle School is the 11th middle school in Humble ISD and will open for the 2025-2026 school year. Lake Houston Middle School features a 213,000 square foot, three-story campus designed for 1,100 students. Lake Houston Middle School will serve students residing in neighborhoods that are currently zoned to Autumn Ridge, West Lake, and potentially Woodcreek Middle School.
