Humble ISD Middle School Students of Character

Humble ISD has announced its 2024 Students of Character. An 8th grade girl and boy and a 12th grade girl and boy from each secondary campus is chosen by their peers for the honor. The 8th graders are then invited to serve on the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council throughout their high school years.

On Tuesday, April 2, the 2024 Humble ISD Students of Character were recognized at the James D. Eggers Instructional Support Center. Each Student of Character received certificates from United States Congressman Dan Crenshaw, Texas State Representative Charles Cunningham, a certificate and award from Humble ISD, and a neon light to help them remember to shine a light and send it on, which is Humble ISD’s theme for the year.

“You have gained a lot of wisdom and experience by participating in your school’s activities,” School Board Vice President Chris Parker said in her welcoming remarks.  “Before you go, I challenge you to go back and share what you have learned with other students who will carry on the traditions of excellence next year. The students in the grades below you look up to you.”

The Atascocita High School Orchestra quartet provided music for the event.
