Humble ISD is opening two health and wellness clinics to provide affordable, convenient health care to employees who elected the new Humble ISD/Cigna health plan.
Those on the Humble ISD/Cigna Primary Alternative Plan have free access to the clinic with no out-of-pocket costs.
Those on the Humble ISD/Cigna HD Alternative Plan will pay a $25 fee per visit until the deductible for the plan is met. Once the deductible is met, the plan covers all clinic services at 100 percent.

“I’m very proud of our benefits department for hearing employee concerns and creating this clinic as an innovative solution,” Dr. Elizabeth Fagen, Humble ISD Superintendent, said.
The Humble ISD insurance enrollment period was held from July 15 to August 19, 2020. For the first time in 10 years, the district offered a health insurance alternative to TRS ActiveCare plans, giving employees and their families the possibility to save thousands of dollars on yearly health care costs.
“Budget limitations due to COVID-19 prevented the district from issuing normal cost of living raises this year,” Billy Beattie, Humble ISD Director of Benefits, said. “We wanted to find a way to fill the void. We achieved this through more affordable employee health benefit options.”
Clinics are staffed with a team of certified medical staff and equipped with spacious exam rooms, the latest technology and top-grade medical equipment to serve patient needs.
Appointments are required and are available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A doctor is always available 24/7 through telemedicine.
Once an appointment is scheduled, patients will be asked to complete a COVID-19 pre-screening by phone. COVID-19 testing is not currently available at either clinic location at this time, but Humble ISD offers free COVID-19 testing to employees with symptoms or close contact by requesting a test at Employee COVID-19 Test Request Form.
Appointments for the new health clinics can be made online at careatc.com/patients, by phone at 1-800-993-8244, or by downloading the CareATC mobile app. The app, which is a free download for most mobile devices, features appointment scheduling and allows a patient to keep tabs on lab results and other health records.
“Our clinics are designed to help Humble ISD employees get the care they need before a condition escalates to something more serious,” Beattie said. “We want our employees to come here and feel comfortable knowing they can access quality health care at an affordable price.”
