Dear Creekwood Middle School Families,

I am writing to share that our beloved student, Shiloh Wilson, has been recovered. His dad, Kingwood Park High School teacher Jeff Wilson, and his mother, Amber Wilson, were also found. The Wilson Family was in Kerrville for Youth Rodeo when horrific flooding along the Guadalupe River occurred.

Shiloh, affectionately called “Stingray” by his family, friends, and the rodeo community, competed in bronc busting and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was recently named as the 2024 Bronc Busting Rookie Junior World Champion. Shiloh was a proud and active member of Creekwood Middle School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served as a bat boy for the Kingwood Park High School baseball team. Shiloh was an incoming seventh-grader and attended Bear Branch Elementary School. His legacy will continue to live in our hearts and in the lives he touched.

Some in our community will be gathering on Saturday, July 12, at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, to support the family. Here is information shared by Shiloh’s uncle:

“We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers throughout this journey. This Saturday, July 12, 2025, we will bring Shiloh home to be reunited with his family.

The official procession will be led by the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office and begin in Kerrville, TX at approximately 9:30 a.m., and is expected to arrive at Kingwood Funeral Home between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.

We invite all who feel led to honor Shiloh to line the route in remembrance as he makes his final journey home. The procession is expected to cross into Waller around 3:00 p.m., then continue down US-290, across SH-99, and onto US-59 in New Caney, concluding at the funeral home in Kingwood.

We are profoundly grateful to the many police and fire departments from across the state who will assist in this homecoming and help ensure a safe and honorable journey.
