Meet the Counselors

Adrienne Hills

Hello ASE families!

I’m so excited to be part of the ASE community as one of your school counselors. I recently relocated from sunny South Florida, and I already feel so welcomed here.

This is my fourth year as a school counselor, and before that, I had the joy of teaching 1st through 3rd grade. Those years in the classroom really shaped the way I support students today, I understand how important it is to nurture the whole child, not just academically, but emotionally and socially, too.

As your school counselor, my goal is to help every student feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether it’s helping with friendships, managing big feelings, or building confidence, I’m here to walk alongside our students as they grow.

I’m truly looking forward to getting to know each of you and working together to make this a fantastic school year!

Hello Panther Families!

I'm absolutely thrilled to begin another fantastic school year at ASE as one of your dedicated school counselors! This marks my 23rd year in education, having previously served as a bilingual teacher, and I'm incredibly excited to be starting my 5th year as a school counselor.

I'm eagerly looking forward to collaborating with my wonderful partner, Ms. Hills, to provide exemplary support and guidance to all our students. I truly believe that fostering well-rounded, resilient individuals is fundamental to their academic journeys and future success. Connecting with our amazing Panther families, staff, and the wider community is something I deeply value. Please never hesitate to reach out – providing support is the very heart of my role!

Counseling at ASE

ASE has a CREST recipent program of excellence. As the ASE Counselors, we have the privilege to work with all of our students in PK-5th grade in their classrooms, in small groups, and in short-term individual counseling meetings to support the whole child through social and emotional learning. Collaborating with families, teachers, staff and community members is essential to our role to benefit and meet the needs of all ASE students.

COUNSELING DELIVERY:

Classroom Guidance Lessons: These lessons will be presented in the classrooms for students in grades PK-5 at least one time each nine-week grading period.  Lessons will teach developmentally appropriate life skills.

Individual/Personalized Counseling: Short-term one-on-one counseling support is available to all students in grades PK-5. Students may self-refer or be referred to the counselors by teachers/staff and/or parents. Confidentiality is respected.

We will be meeting with every student throughout the school year.

Consultations: We are available to have meetings with teachers, administrators and/or parents to discuss the needs of individual students. We are here for all students and want to ensure that your child has a productive and positive school year.

Any student can request to meet with us or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent.  We encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child.

**Confidentiality** Please note that all information discussed is confidential between me and your child, unless they express that they are hurting themselves, hurting someone else or someone is hurting them.
