About Us

The Humble ISD Child Nutrition Services Department is one of the largest support services departments in the school district with over 350 employees. 

The Child Nutrition Services Department operates under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.  These programs are administered by the United States Department of Agriculture on a federal level and by the Texas Department of Agriculture on the state level. 

The Child Nutrition Services department follows federal meal requirements and provides free or reduced-price meals to eligible students. 

The Child Nutrition Services Department is a self-funded program, earning revenue and paying all department expenses.  The department does not receive funds from local property taxes.

The National School Lunch Program, as administered by the Humble ISD Child Nutrition Department, provides free and reduced price meals for students who fall within the eligibility guidelines.

Humble ISD provides healthy breakfast and lunch meals at no cost for kids 18 and younger, and enrolled students up to 21 years old with disabilities, during the summer.
