G T TESTING RESULTS

If your child tested for the GT program in February, those scores should be received from the testing center by the second week of May.  After the results are received and the building selection committee meets, a formal letter will be sent home with the final results.  Thank you for your patience. 

HUMBLE ISD SPICE PROGRAM 

Our SPICE program for students in K-1 is going to change for the 2008-09 school year.  The SPICE program will service our K-2 population now.  In the past, we have tested our first graders for the GT program in the spring of their first grade year.  It was agreed that this is too early for most students to be put through such rigorous testing.  All students that are identified as SPICE in kindergarten this year will remain in the program through the end of their second grade year.  At that time, they can test for the GT program which accommodates 3-12th grade.  All first graders that are currently in SPICE will remain in SPICE next year as second graders.  Students that are in second grade for the 2008-09 school year will be able to test for GT in spring of 2009.  For any further information you may contact Christine Bruton at christine.bruton@humble.k12.tx.us. 

 Shadow Forest students will not be permitted to leave school by any means other than what is listed on their dismissal information sheet on file at school without prior written permission from a parent or guardian.  FOR YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY, PHONE CALLS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AS A CHANGE IN DISMISSAL.
