To report your child's absence, please call the River Pines Elementary Absence Line at 281-641-3319 Leave a message with your child's name, date of absence, teacher's name, and reason for the absence. You may call to arrange pick up of your child's homework after three days absence.

Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms when the tardy bell rings at 8:05. Students who arrive on time tend to feel more organized and ready for instruction. Please remember that late arrivals are a disruption to classroom instruction and are now a part of your child's permanent records. They will be recorded on their report cards.

Visiting Our School

During school hours (7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.) All visitors must enter the school through the front doors and check in with the front office staff. You will be required to present a valid state issued ID (driver's license). For the protection of all children on our campus we use the V-soft tracking system. This system has the ability to provide alerts on people who may jeopardize the safety of the campus.
We feel certain this will help us keep our campus a little safer, and ask for your cooperation in presenting your valid state issued ID when checking in at school.

Meals

Delicious and nutritious meals are prepared daily by our dedicated cafeteria personnel. Meal tickets my by purchased before school in the cafeteria. Menus are updated monthly.

Your child’s health and well-being are important to us. If your child has any medical issues you did not include on the annual update at the start of school, please contact the school nurse at 281.641.3306.

Please also take a moment to update your contact information by logging in to Home Access Center (HAC) and selecting the "Registration" button.

You may change contact phone numbers by clicking "Edit Information," but home addresses must be verified. If an address change is needed, take proof of residence to your campus registrar. For questions, call this Number

The purpose of the Humble ISD dress code is to create an atmosphere where maximum teaching and learning can occur. The district believes that reasonable dress code regulations help to sustain a wholesome learning environment, one that supports the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of students, not only while attending Humble ISD, but also as a means of preparing them for future endeavors. • Mini-dresses and mini-skirts shorter then mid-thigh, spaghetti straps, leotards, and halters as an outer garment are not acceptable. Blouses covering tube tops must be buttoned. The length of shorts must be between the knee and mid-thigh. Remember the fingertip rule!

• Male students are not allowed to wear shirts without sleeves.

• Sunglasses may not be worn in the school building.

• Shoes are to be worn. Heels above 1/2 inch and flip-flops are not permitted.

• Make-up is not permitted at the elementary level.
