Jimmie K. Alton

Jimmie K. Alton served on the Humble ISD School Board for 1 year. He was appointed to serve out the unexpired term of C. C. Wellborn on July 5, 1932 in Position 4. He was then elected to the position on April 1, 1933 and and resigned on June 6, 1933.

E. A. Arrington served on the Humble ISD School Board for 3 years. He was elected to Position 7 on April 2, 1932 and served continuously through April 11, 1935.

Philip Risley Beavens

Philip Risley Beavens

Philip Risley Beavens was born on October 26, 1880. He was owner of the Moonshine Pharmacy located at Moonshine Hill, where he worked as a druggist.

Phil R. Beavens served on the Humble ISD School Board for 4 years. He was elected to the first Humble ISD School Board on May 29, 1919 and served through June 4, 1923.

Dr. W. H. Bennett

Dr. W. H. Bennett served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 28 from 1916 through 1918.  He also served on the Humble ISD School Board for 2 years in Position 1, beginning on April 4, 1931 and ending on April 1, 1933.

Bob Berry

Bob Berry

Bob B. Berry worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Enron Engineering, and was also the owner of Patriotic Exploration and Production Co.

Bob Berry served on the Humble ISD School Board for 10 years.  He was elected to Position 7 on January 24, 1984 and served continuously until February 8, 1994.

Bob Berry stepped down from his School Board position on February 8, 1994, when his company transferred him to a town located in the southwest part of Siberia, Russia.  His wife Beth was serving as the executive director of the Bordersville Three H Center at the time.  Mr. Berry's empty board position was eventually filled by Lynn Fields.

William Bivin

William W. Bivin

William W. Bivin is a partner in the law firm of Bivin & McNamara, and is a former director of the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Bivin served on the Humble ISD School Board for 12 years. He was elected to Position 4 on February 11, 1992 and served through May 15, 2004.

Mr. Bivin has been a member of the  Texas Association of School Boards Legislative Advisory Committee, and has been chairman of the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee. He is a former Cub Scout Den Leader and a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Kingwood Area Emergency Medical Association, Inc. Mr. Bivin has also been a precinct chairman and the chairman of the Harris County Judicial Candidates Committee for the Republican Party of Harris County, and is a past-president of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District Small Business Council.

Horace Bozarth

Horace Bozarth

Horace Francis Bozarth was born Ocober 11, 1882.  Originally from Wimberly in Hays County, Texas, he opened a business in Humble soon after the first oil strike. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Humble State Bank, and was the owner of the Old Reliable Market in downtown Humble.

H. F. Bozarth served on the Humble ISD School Board for 4 years. He was elected to the first Humble ISD School Board on May 29, 1919 and served through June 4, 1923.

He was a member of the Texas Cattle Ranchers Association.

Horace Francis Bozarth died on August 28, 1960.

Eric Brewster

Eric Brewster

Eric Brewster was raised in Big Spring, Texas. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education, and was completing a Doctoral Degree in early childhood education at the University of Houston.

Mr. Brewster began his teaching career as an Assistant Band Director for Hitchcock High School in Hitchcock ISD. In 1972, he transitioned into elementary education, where he taught at the kindergarten (1976-1977, 1977-1978), and first grade (1978-1979) levels at Foster Elementary in Humble ISD. He also worked as a Contract Representative for Walker-Kurth Lumber Co.

Eric Brewster served on the Humble ISD School Board for a little over a year.  He was elected to Position 4 on January 22, 1980 and resigned on March 10, 1981.  He resigned to avoid conflicts when the district hired his wife, Betty, to teach in the district.

In 1987, Mr. Brewster returned to teaching. He became an Assistant Principal in 1989, and was promoted to Principal in 1991. He went to work for Waxahachie ISD in 1996, becoming the principal of Dunway Elementary, and then Clift Elementary in 2011. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association for Education of Young Children.

Eric Brewster retired from teaching in 2013.

William T Brooks

William T. Brooks

Captain William T. Brooks worked as a pilot for Delta Airlines.  He was a 1961 graduate of The United States Naval Academy, where he was an All-American Football player.  He also served as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam war.

Bill Brooks served on the Humble ISD School Board for over 12 years. He was elected to Position 7 on April 5, 1971 and serving until January 24, 1984.

Captain Brooks retired from Delta Air Lines after 30 years of service in late April 1999.

Dr. Charles R. Brown

Dr. Charles R. Brown was a University of Texas Administrator and Faculty Member.

Dr. Charles R. Brown served on the Humble ISD School Board for 3 years.  He was elected to Position 1 on January 19, 1982 and served until April 10, 1984 when he resigned to accept employment in another state.

Elbert Howard Brown

E. Howard Brown was born 31 January 1908. He served on the Humble ISD School Board in Position 3 for 3 years, starting on April 8, 1940 and serving until April 6, 1943.

E. Howard Brown died 8 June 1965.

J. D. Brown

J. D. Brown

J. D. Brown was born in 1921, and worked as a general contractor.

J. D. "Jelly" Brown served on the Humble ISD School Board for 12 years. He was elected to Position 5 on May 9, 1955 and served until April 4, 1967.

J. C. Bryant

J. C. Bryant served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 28 for 1 year, from 1908 through April 3, 1909.

William Gilbert Bubendorf

Gilbert William Bubendorf was born on September 19, 1916.

Gilbert W. Bubendorf served on the Humble ISD School Board in Position 1 for 2 years, beginning on April 4, 1939 and serving until April 8, 1941.

Gilbert William Bubendorf died on June 5, 1948.

John Christian Busch

John Christian Busch was born October 14, 1860 in Cedar Bayou, Texas.  He and his family moved to the Humble area in 1899.  Mr. Busch worked as a rancher, raising cattle and hogs at his home on the Atascocita Road near present-day Lake Houston.

John Busch served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 28 for 1 year, from 1899 through 1900.

John Christian Busch died on March 8, 1950 in Humble, Texas.

Colin Carney

Colin Carney

Colin Carney is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Taxation.

He served on the Humble ISD School Board for 1 year, 9 months.  He was appointed on August 8, 2017 to take the place of Heath Rushing in Position 6. Mr. Carney served through May 4, 2019.

Mr. Carney has volunteered as a Junior Achievement instructor, YMCA T-Ball Coach, and Alliance youth soccer coach.

He serves as a member of the Board's Audit, Board and Superintendent Evaulation, and Legislative Committees, and is the Humble ISD Education Foundation Representative.

E. S. Charpiot

E. S. Charpiot

E. S. Charpiot served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 35 for 5 years, from 1901 through 1902, and again from 1914 through 1918.

E. S. Charpiot then served on the Humble ISD School Board for 4 years. He was elected to the first Humble ISD School Board on May 29, 1919 and served through June 4, 1923

Earnest A. Charpiot

Earnest A. Charpiot was born on December 4, 1886.

Earnest A. Charpiot served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 35 for 5 years, from April 13, 1907 through 1912.

Earnest A. Charpiot died on January 1, 1920.

Dr. Aaron Clevenson

Dr. Aaron Clevenson

Dr. Aaron Clevenson was a Manager at Anderson Consulting.  He served as supervisor of the Artificial Intelligence Team at Andersen Consulting, where he is responsible for Advisory and Process Control Expert Systems.

Dr. Aaron Clevenson served on the Humble ISD School Board for 9 years. He was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Scott Spradlin in Position 1 on June 14, 1997. He was then elected to Position 1 on May 6, 2000 and served through May 13, 2006.

Dr. Clevenson has served as a judge and category coordinator (9th grade physics) for the Houston Science Engineering Fair, and also as a Volunteer Instructor Trainer with the American Red Cross in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety and Canoeing.  He has also served as the Oaks Elementary PTA-Science Fair coordinator.

He has been president of the Oaks of Atascocita Swim Team, a registered Adult Volunteer for Brownie Troop #3198. He has also been a member of the United States Power Squadron, Friends of the Atascocita Library and the Kingwood Stamp Club.

Dr. Clevenson is a recipient of the Clara Barton Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership from the American Red Cross.

R. W. Condon

R. W. Condon served on the Humble ISD School Board in Position 6 for 3 years, beginning on April 4, 1944 and serving until April 8, 1947.

Angela Conrad

Angela Conrad

Angela Conrad is a graduate of Arizona State University. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Technology.  She works as an Instructional Designer for Insperity.  Mrs. Conrad has over 14 years in public education, including six years classroom experience as a math teacher, and eight years’ experience in the Humble ISD Instructional Technology department. She won national recognition for Humble ISD through distance learning programs she designed, implemented, and shared with colleagues in other districts.

She was elected on May 11, 2013. She served for 7 years in Position 3. She resigned in March 2020 because she and her husband move dout of the area.

Mrs. Conrad has been chair of the School Board’s Technology and Data Governance Committee and the Board and Superintendent Evaluation Committee. She has also served on the Legislative Committee.

Charles Cunningham

Charles Cunningham

Charles Cunningham is a Key Accounts Consultant for Center-Point Energy, and has lived in Humble since 1994. Charles received an honorary Doctorate of Arts in Christian Leadership in 2018 from Juliana King University.

Mr. Cunningham was elected to the School Board in Position 4 on May 12, 2007.  He served continuously for more than 12 years, resiging in September 2019 to take a position on the City of Humble City Council.

He was very tenacious in pursing a position on the school board. He ran for a school board position unsuccessfully five times (1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004).  In fact, he lost the 2001 election by only 10 votes.  He was finally elected to the school board on his sixth attempt, on May 12, 2007.

Mr. Cunningham has been chairman of the School Board’s Audit Committee and has also been a member of the Finance Committee and the Building and Planning Committee.  He served as the Board's representative to the Humble ISD Education Foundation Board.

He served as Director and a past president of the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards (GCAASB).  Charles was also elected by the Texas Association of School Boards to serve on the TASB Board of Directors.

J. A. Daniel

J. A. Daniel served on the Humble ISD School Board for just over a year,. He was elected to Position 7 on May 10, 1950 and serving until August 7, 1951.

William Dewey

William Dewey

William Dewey served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 50 from 1918 until February 1919, when District No. 50 was transformed into the Humble Independent School District.

Martina Lemond Dixon

Martina Lemond Dixon

Martina is a graduate of Auburn University with Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and LSU with a Post Baccalaureate in Construction Management.

She was elected to Position 5 on May 6, 2017.

Martina serves on the Lake Houston Family YMCA Board, and she was the Leadership Lake Houston 2014 Class President, which is a program sponsored by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce.

Martina served on the Humble ISD Education Foundation as the Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair, and on the Grant Review Committee. She was elected to the School Board at the American Community School in Abu Dhabi in 2008, and served as Board Secretary, Curriculum Chair, and Association-Board-Community Chair. She served on the Humble ISD PTA Council’s executive board as Board Secretary, and Scholarship Chair for three years. She has 10 years teaching experience in public schools, eight of which were in Galena Park ISD.

H. C. Doan

H. C. Doan served on the Humble ISD School Board in Position 6 for 5 years, beginning on April 8, 1941 and serving until April 4, 1944.

Earl Domengeaux

Earl Edward Domengeaux

Mr. Domengeaux was general sale manager and co-owner of Frontier Ford Sales. Earl E. Domengeaux served on the Humble ISD School Board for 5 years. He was elected to Position1 on April 5, 1970 and serving until October 4, 1975.

He also served as President of the Humble Rotary Club (1971-1972).

Dr. J. B. DuBose

Dr. John Brown DuBose

Dr. John Brown Dubose was born on November 4, 1876 in Robertson County, Texas. He moved to Humble in 1903 as a doctor for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He served as the first Mayor of Humble in 1933.

Dr. John B. Dubose served on the Humble ISD School Board for 4 years. He was elected to the first Humble ISD School Board on May 29, 1919, and served as the first President of the School Board. He resigned near the beginning of his 5th term on June 30, 1923.

Dr. John Brown Dubose died on February 15, 1947.

Hugh Dugan

Hugh Edward Dugan

Hugh Edwin Dugan was born on June 18, 1916.  He was a regional manager of Libby, McNeill & Libby. He later worked as the Regional Manager of Seabrook Farms Frozen Foods.

Hugh E. Dugan served on the Humble ISD School Board for 3 years. He was elected to Position 7 on April 9, 1968 and serving until April 4, 1971.

Mr. Dugan also served as a charter trustee of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District in 1972.

Hugh Edwin Dugan died on June 5, 1980.

Joseph W. Dunman

Joseph W. Dunman opened the first schoolhouse in the area, called Joe Dunman's Schoolhouse.  When Harris County Common School DIstrict No. 28 was formed in this area, Joe Dunman's Schoolhouse was used as the first school.  He is the son of Joseph Dunman, one of the first setllers in the area.

Joseph W. Dunman served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 28 for 1 year, from 1885 to 1886.

E. J. Dunn

E. J. Dunn served on the School Board for Harris County Common School District No. 35 for 4 years, from April 3, 1909 through April 5, 1913.

Alton Duran

Alton Duran was born on August 5, 1902.

Alton Duran served on the Humble ISD School Board in Position 1 for 6 years. He was elected on April 1, 1933 and served continuously through April 4, 1939.
