Wilson family leaves legacy on Kingwood Park community
Jeff, Amber and Shiloh Wilson died in the flash floods by the Guadalupe River on July 4. They had been camping near Kerrville for a youth rodeo event. Jeff was the auto collision teacher at Kingwood Park and had worked in Humble ISD for 30 years. Shiloh was a rising seventh grader at Creekwood Middle School.
Ban on cell phones, headphones creates instant change
Prior to the 2025-26 school year, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 1481, a new state law prohibiting the use of personal communication devices (PCDs) in classrooms during the school day. The state law aims to reduce the number of distractions in a classroom setting.
Tennis season is underway
Check out a slideshow of images from the team's first home match. The team opened the season with an 11-8 loss to Magnolia, but they went on to defeat New Caney, 19-0, on Aug. 15.

The girls and boys cross country kicked off their seasons in a 2-mile race at Creekwood Middle School on Aug. 9. The meet was a warm-up for the season ahead.
