The Humble High School building has been closed while disinfecting fogger machines are used as a precaution. This process will affect some activities:
Humble High School will not be a site for summer meal distribution on Monday, June 8. Families may go from 11 a.m. to noon to Humble Middle School, River Pines Elementary, Oaks Elementary, Ridge Creek Elementary or Kingwood Park High School, to pick up carry-out meals for students on Monday.
Strength and conditioning camp can be held on Monday, June 8. Athletes will not be in areas of the campus that are affected.
Staff members who were planning to work inside HHS on Monday will need to work from home on Monday. Staff will not be permitted inside the building until the process has been completed.
Humble High School was informed over the weekend that an individual who had been in the building on Friday, May 29, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The individual did not have contact with students or parents.
The individual did have contact with one staff member of Humble High School. This contact is receiving guidance from health services. Individuals who test positive and contacts will not be on campus for two weeks per TEA Guidance for Summer 2020.
We appreciate being informed of the positive test and the cooperation with contact tracing. We are thankful that the individual is doing well.
As soon as the building has been sanitized, it will be reopened to those who were not affected.
