Dear Woodland Hills Elementary School Families,

Construction of our exciting new multi-purpose room continues to progress, and we wanted to make you aware of the next phase of the project that will begin this week and will impact available outdoor spaces for school and community use at Woodland Hills Elementary. As of today, the WHE Healthy Heart Field is surrounded by construction fence and will not be available for school or community use. Once this construction phase is complete, the Healthy Heart Field will again be available for school and community use. 

The sidewalk connecting the parking lot and greenbelt will not be impacted and will be available for continued use for bikers/walkers. During the time the Healthy Heart Field is not accessible to our students, Coach Briganti and the staff will continue to use the pavilion and portions of the Tree Lane playground area to conduct physical education classes. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we add enhanced, engaging spaces for our students.    

As a reminder, the multi-purpose room is being built adjacent to the covered pavilion. The new facility will feature a full size gym that is lined for basketball and volleyball, and will include bleachers and new restrooms. Students and families will be able to enjoy this new facility when it is built. Funding for the project is made possible through the bond program. 

The project is expected to be completed in August 2023. We are excited for the new multipurpose room, and thank you for your continued support!
