Mrs. Doiron's Welcome Ltr.

Mrs. Doiron--4th grade

Hello,

My name is Christina Doiron. I will be your child’s 4th-grade teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. I look forward to a wonderful productive year of growing, not just academically, but individually as well.

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been married for over 18 years and we have two wonderful children, my daughter, Caroline is a Junior at Kingwood High and my son, Christian is in 7th grade at Riverwood Middle.  I have been in education for over 12 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Education Administration.

I am looking forward to a great school year,

Mrs. Doiron

Mrs. Doiron’s Reminders

Just a couple of reminders:

. Please make sure your child gets to school on time. Your child is considered Tardy at 8:00am. School instruction begins at 7:55am.

. If your child needs to eat breakfast please have them here early, if they are in the cafeteria and not in the classroom by 8:00am they will be counted Tardy.

. It is imperative that your child knows their dismissal. If there is a change in dismissal you must notify the teacher and the front office. Please email before 3:00pm in order for us to be able to be notified of a change.

.Planners – Your child needs to write homework assignments in their own planner. They are responsible for it.

.Bear Folders – Conduct sheet will be in this folder on Fridays.  I do not save papers and assessments that your child will do until Fridays. I send them home when they are graded or checked.

. If your child is absent, please notify the teacher and Laura Roberts (front office). Also notify the nurse, Mrs. James, if they are sick and what they have.

.If your child brings a water bottle, please make sure it has a closeable top.

. Please only bring healthy snacks.

.Safety-You will only be able to enter the building from the front doors of the school building. All doors around the building are locked for a reason. Do not ask a staff member or a student to let you in from any door, even if we are right next to the door. We will not let you in and you will be directed to enter the building from the front.  This is a safety precaution for your child(ren).

. Absolutely NO party invitations can be handed out at school. The school is setting up a Google Docs page to help with that information.

. Just a heads up:  Our Class Basket Theme for this year’s Fall Festival will be “Baking.” We will be needing to bring in baking items for our class basket.

Smiles,

Mrs. Doiron
