Humble ISD wraps up another great year for the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk

Humble ISD named top school district Heart Walk team in Texas for sixth year

The Humble ISD Heart Walk team is the top school district in the state of Texas for the sixth year!  The team raised the most money out of all school districts participating in Heart Walks held across the state of Texas this fall. 

“Humble ISD plays a key role in supporting our mission to help people live longer, healthier lives,” Samantha Fewell-Nunez, President of Youth Markets for the American Heart Association said. 

Humble ISD helped raise $19,185 in the 2019 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk.  Overall, the 2019 Greater Lake Houston Heart and Stroke Walk brought in more than $162,400, raising funds and awareness for the fight against heart disease.

The American Heart Association presented the following Heart Walk awards to Humble ISD schools at the November 12 School Board Meeting:

Top Fundraising Elementary School Team: Eagle Springs Elementary School
Top Fundraising Middle School Team: West Lake Middle School
Top Fundraising High School Team: Kingwood High School
Overall Top Fundraising Humble ISD Team: West Lake Middle School


Top Participation Heart Walk Teams Willow Creek Elementary School, West Lake Middle School, and Quest Early College High School are honored as the top Humble ISD teams for participation in the 2019 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk by Humble ISD Board of Trustees President Nancy Morrison (far left) and Humble ISD Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen (far right).

Timbers Elementary School: $1,000
